CPE Policies

CPE POLICIES for VIRTUAL/LIVE SEMINARS
and DSCPA EVENTS

Virtual Seminars are online live events that are sponsored by the Delaware Society of Certified Public Accountants, and CPE credit is given by the Delaware Society of Certified Public Accountants.

CPE Credit

DSCPA programs qualify for credit toward the Delaware Board of Accountancy’s continuing education requirement. Credit is given only for actual hours attended by an attendee.

The DSCPA reserves the right to verify attendance at any time during its programs and will grant credit only for that portion of the seminar for which the attendee is present. For this purpose, 50 minutes of class time equals 1 hour of CPE credit.

CPE credit is determined by the percentage of poll responses given by each attendee.

Proof of CPE credit earned will be emailed to attendees within 3 days of the conclusion of the seminar. It is permissible to receive less than the total number of credit hours offered by a seminar as long as the attendee earns at least 1 hour of CPE.

The DSCPA is an approved CPE sponsor in Pennsylvania holding sponsor number PX002081L.

The DSCPA is an approved CPE sponsor in New Jersey holding sponsor number 20CE00175900.

Payment Methods

Payment may be made by Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express. Payment in full must be made when registering for seminars.

Registration Procedure

Registrations can only be made online at www.delaware.cpa. You may use DSCPA Money on Account balance for all or partial payment. DSCPA balances can be viewed at www.delaware.cpa/my-cpe/balances.

It is the responsibility of the registrant to remember to attend a seminar for which they have registered. Registration fees will be forfeited, if registrant does not attend the seminar and properly notify the DSCPA in advance. (See Cancellations and Substitutions below)

Seminar Materials

Materials prepared by a vendor or the DSCPA are designed specifically for use during the program and are available only to those attending the program. Materials, or portions thereof, are not otherwise available for sale or distribution to individuals or educational institutions and may not be reproduced in any way.

Once the materials have been made available, there will be no refunds to registrants for seminar fees. It is the responsibility of the registrant to download materials prior to the date of the seminar. Materials may not be available after the date of the seminar.

Cancellations and Substitutions

If you are unable to attend a seminar, please notify us as soon as possible. Cancellations and substitutions will only be honored if submitted by email prior to noon on the last business day before the seminar. No refunds will be given for seminar fees once seminar materials have been made available.

Should you need to cancel your registration, you may send a substitute in your place. Substitute notifications must be sent to cpe@delaware.cpa no more than 2 business days prior to the seminar. Additional fees may be due if the substitute qualifies for a higher registration fee.

Alternatively, you may cancel your registration by sending an email to cpe@delaware.cpa. Cancellation fees may be assessed.

Registrants have the option of having the balance refunded to their original form of payment or having the balance held on account for future use. All money held on account must be used by the end of the DSCPA’s current fiscal year (April 30).
